Unmounted linoleum is a versatile relief printing medium that is easily printed on multiple surfaces such as paper and fabric. Speedball block printing inks for Fabric are lightfast, dries quickly, bonds permanently to any natural fiber based fabric, and cleans up easily with soap and water. These inks can be printed on both fabric and paper giving the relief printer flexibility. In this workshop, students will get a short refresher on linocut printmaking techniques using unmounted linoleum and several mark making tools such as lino cutters, Dremel, zip tools, and others.

Students will then print their unmounted lino blocks using Speedball Block Printing Inks for Fabric on DGA etching presses or by hand using a barren.

Lastly, students will learn the Heat setting process, which ensures the inks bond to the fibers in the fabric.

One lino cut block, 1 tote, 1 bandana, and ink are included
